STHLMNYC Conversation: Urban Well-Being by Architectural Design

Oct 24 at 6–8pm
AIA New York l Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Pl, New York, NY 10012
Organized by Consulate General of Sweden

Contemporary architecture is much more than merely the art and practice of designing and constructing buildings. It is an interdisciplinary practice that takes on contemporary environmental, economic and social challenges and opportunities while embracing new technologies to develop and realize innovative solutions. But architecture still is, above all, a design practice. The program at the Center for Architecture will explore and discuss the power of architectural design to give shape to our daily living environment and to improve our daily life.

In presentations and a panel discussion, leading professionals from Stockholm and New York will explore the ability of a well-designed living environment to take on the most pressing challenges in our cities: providing well-being for all.
